In February 2019 a small steering group of supporters met for the purpose of forming a Dundee Football Club Historical Trust and on the 14th July 2020 the Trust was formally established and charitable status awarded by the Scottish Charity Regulator OSCR.
The Trust is a proactive organisation which strives to work with fans, individuals, community groups and others. The aim is to acquire, preserve and maintain artefacts and other memorabilia connected with the history of Dundee Football Club, its players, officials, employees and supporters, and to make same available for public access and educational purposes at the discretion of the trustees. The Trust operates independently from Dundee FC with the full support of the Football Club.
Help us in our aim of collating and protecting items of memorabilia which weave an irresistibly colourful tapestry that breathes life into the stories and rekindles long forgotten memories.
If you would like to loan or gift items to the Trust or would just like to share your memories and memorabilia with us, we’d like to hear from you.
You may also wish to help fund us in our aim of protecting this great club’s history and any donations would be gratefully received.
Many individuals and organisations have already displayed tremendous generosity towards the Trust. The funding for this website was only possible thanks to Dundee City Council’s ‘Common Good Fund’ and Dee4Life.
The Trust is also appreciative of the help and support of Steve Taylor at Murray Taylor, Scott Brown at Dundee Removal Services, Derek Gerrard at Circle Signs, Stewart Ramsay at the Friends of Dundee Football Club Facebook Page and former Trustees Ally Donaldson and Graeme Brymer.
Without the generosity of the individuals who have loaned, donated and shared their items of memorabilia we could not do what we do.
Finally, we would also like to thank David Powell at DC Thomson & Co. Ltd for his guidance around the complex area of copyright and to all the individuals and organisations, not least Dundee FC, that have allowed us to reproduce their imagery so that we have a website worth viewing.
